cajun style seafood...crawfish, oysters, and shrimp! yum yum. when we first ordered it, we had ordered it mild, but it turned out to be really spicy. wayyyy spicy, even for me! so we had them take it back and remake it, but they were really nice about it.
the restaurant was in garden grove, in the middle of little saigon, and our waiter happened to be the only caucasian in the restaurant at the time. i think a couple more white customers came in later, but the restaurant was predominantly asians. but anyways, when we were trying to signal to the waiter to remake our food, one of my friends jokingly yelled out "white boy!" and then when we got our check...it turned out that the waiter's name on the receipt was "white boy" !!!!!!! hilarious!! =)
crawfish. eww. when i first saw that creature, it looked so real. i didn't want to rip it apart. it kind of reminded me of the dissections that we did in biology. but after the initial "eww" and "gross-me-out", i got into it. but there's nothing to eat in the crawfish. the tail has some meat, but it's really small. it's abdomen area is nothing. and the head, that part i couldn't eat. it was just mush, must have been the brain. and it tasted funny to me too. no more crawfish for me. but give me the shrimps, oysters, corn, and sausage any day!!!! yummy!!!!
