summer is coming

going to the beach

i'm starting to go to the beach again. there's just something about the beach that i love. more than the mountains. although i do love the mountains too. but if i had to choose, i think i would choose to live near the beach. i remember an old college friend asking me that during college. back then, i said i wasn't sure, but ever since i came back to LA, i can definitely say, the beach!

but i really do need to move closer to the beach. it takes me at least 30 minutes one-way to get there. but houses and apartments are SOOOO expensive near there. arg.

it's titled "someday you will long for this"...it reminds me of this picture that i took of a picture in chicago. that picture, too, was similar to this, with wide open spaces both in the front and in the back of the house. it's so suburbia, but so peaceful at the same time. i just finished watching this korean drama called "환타시 커플" or "couple of trouble" and the couple lived in the countryside with a homey-lookin house too. it kind of made me want to live like that...be able to walk along the quiet streets, thinking, reflecting...haha....i think my hormones are raging right now. i need to slap myself. cuz i would also get immensely bored. i am a city girl. most of the time. :p

this one is called "sunpatch"...i luv it! i definitely do this sometimes, at my house, the library, the cafe...just to warm up...but then it gets too hot, and then i move again. =)
